With over 16 years experience, Carrie has lead and contributed to many large scale and complex projects. Her process is focused on design leadership in the early phases of design: visioning clients goals, design research and sustainability assessment, setting design intent, iterative conceptualization, concept design, and schematic development of complex and innovative details. 

Furthermore, Carrie is an advocate for inclusive design methodologies in the design process and is involved in community organizations, such as the local AIA-DC chapter, where she is a member of the design excellence committee. In years past, she has co-chaired and served as the mentorship chair for the AIA-DC Equity Committee by WIELD (Women Inspire Emerging Leaders in Design). Carrie's subject matter expertise include:

Carrie is a champion for the AIA-Framework for Design Excellence, and has a proven history of earning awards and recognition for her projects through the local AIA chapters design awards programs in the DC, MD, VA area receiving Awards of Excellence from AIA-Northern Virginia in 2019, 2020 & 2021.  Carrie regularly serves as an invited critic on design juries at local universities.
